Is CrossFit for Me?


The needs of Olympic athletes and grandparents differ by degree not kind.

CrossFit it the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operation units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. However, it is also being implemented in nursing homes with the elderly. So if your fitness falls somewhere in between, then we can probably help you.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. Soldiers, cyclists, triathletes, housewives, and college students find their best fitness from the same regiment.

What is Gryphon CrossFit?

Gryphon CrossFit is an elite fitness facility that focuses on training individuals using CrossFit methods and techniques.

You will not find rows of treadmills, ellipticals, or weight machines. There are no TVs or mirrors. Iron Warrior focuses on training fundamental, multiple joint movements that mimic the same movements you perform on a daily basis.

Training takes place in a class setting, which provides a unique sense of intensity due to the competitive nature of the facility.

Iron Warrior CrossFit’s mission is to provide quantifiable results utilizing functional movements performed at high intensity and constantly varied. Iron Warrior CrossFit’s goal is to prepare individuals for any unexpected task.

What Should I Eat?

Eat meats and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar.

What this means is that your should stay away from processed foods. Nutrition is the base of overall health and fitness. We understand that at Iron Warrior CrossFit and put a premium on diet and nutrition. It has been said that 90% of your health and fitness is dependent upon what you eat.

The best way to shop is to stay on the perimeter of the grocery store while avoiding the aisles. Food is perishable, while the stuff on the shelves has preservatives to keep it from expiring. The perimeter of the grocery store consists of your veggies and fruits, meats, nuts, seeds, and dairy.
